BRAZIL VITEM - I VISA SERVICE
INSTRUCTION

PLEASE GATHER, PREPARE AND SEND THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS:

Visa Express only process Brazil Vitem I Visa for Residents of:
    Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas

Valid Passport:

    You must send the actual passport. The passport must signed and have at least six (6) months validity remaining before expiration and has at least two complete blank visa pages for the visa stamp.
    Note: The last three pages on the passport are not visa pages and are not acceptable. If your passport doesn't meet the requirement, click here to see our passport services.

Visa Application Form:

    Each applicant must complete an eVisa Application for Brazil on SCEDV web site . On the home page of SCEDV web site, click "VISA REQUEST" under "VISA" Section on the left menu. An application number will be assigned to you once you have completed entering the information. You are required to submit a signed receipt. The signature on the receipt must be original, not faxed or photocopied. Also, the signature should match the one in your passport.

    Minors under age 18 must submit a notarized copy of birth certificate and a notarized Travel Authorization Form for Minors . Application receipt for minors must be notarized and signed by both parents.

Photograph:

    You must provide two 2"x2" passport type photos. Homemade Digital Photographs are not acceptable.

Proof of residence in the consular jurisdiction:

    You must send a notarized copy of your driver license or your state ID, and you must have resided in one of the following states: Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas for the past 12 months prior to your visa application.

Non Criminal Record:

    If the you plan stay over 90 days in Brazil, you need to provide a recent non-criminal record issued by your local Police Department.

Other Documents:

    For activities under an international cooperation program: copy of the international agreement, proof of professional expertise, and letter from sponsoring organization informing activities to be pursued by applicant and attesting to the following: that the organization will be responsible for repatriating the applicant (and his/her family, as applicable) once the visa expires or the agreement ceases to exist, and that the applicant will not receive any payment from a Brazilian party.

    For professorial, research, or scientific activities: letter from Brazilian sponsoring organization informing activities to be pursued and pecuniary conditions.

    For exchange student: a) letter from school, college or university in Brazil confirming the enrollment or acceptance of the student and informing the duration of studies; b) parents' authorization (if applicant is under 18 years old); c) proof of financial capability to pay for the stay in Brazil; d) letter from the sponsoring Brazilian exchange students program organization, stating the student's inclusion of the program, name and location of the educational institution, as well as the address/ names/ qualifications of responsible parties of "hosting family" in Brazil; and e) copy of the Brazilian exchange students program organization bylaws, and its Cadastro Nacional de Pessoas Juridicas.

    For interns: notarized copy of agreement (" termo de compromisso ") between the intern and the Brazilian organization or institution, attesting to the conditions for internship, scholarship, and the required involvement of a Brazilian government agency, international cooperation organization, or authorized exchange organization (in this case, add copy of its bylaws, official registration, and Cadastro Nacional de Pessoas Juridicas).

    For technical training: letter from employer attesting to the fact that applicant will not receive salary or payment of any kind by a Brazilian party, and letter from Brazilian corporation informing the nature of the training to be provided and attesting to the fact that it will be hold responsible for the applicant while in Brazil.
