Authorization Letter

Three-Year Multiple Entry Visa Option

  • The number of entries in your Russian visa application form must read Multiple Entry.
  • The Entry and Departure Date from Russia must cover three years. For instance, for someone whose Confirmation and Voucher commences on 12/01/2020 (Date of Entry). The departure date must be 11/30/2023, not the date you will depart as listed on the confirmation and voucher.

Former USSR or Russia Nationals:

  • Copy of USSR passport with a stamp stating you left for permanent residence abroad, dated prior to February 6th 1992.
  • Copy of a Visa to Israel issued prior to February 6th 1992.
  • Copy of a Certificate of Naturalization issued prior to 1996
  • Document confirming the renunciation of your Russian citizenship.
  • Copy of the main pages of a passport of a former USSR state, issued after February 1992.


In accordance with Russian law, visas cannot be issued to Russian citizens with expired passports. We remind you that in accordance to Article 12 of Russian law “On citizenship of the Russian Federation”, children born to two parents who are Russian citizens automatically gain Russian citizenship regardless of the place of birth. In this case visas are not issued and they must apply for Russian citizenship or have their information written into the passport of one of their parents or obtain a Russian passport.

Minors

Minors must supply the following to get a Russian Visa:

  • Copies of a valid Birth Certificate.
  • A valid copy of passports from both parents.

Passport

Send your original signed passport:

  • There must be two blank pages on the passport marked Visas side by side
  • The expiration period on the passport must not exceed six months
  • Applicants need to submit any former valid Russian visa that they hold in a separate passport, regardless of whether the old passport is expired or canceled
  • People with a lost or stolen valid Russian visa must present a police report about the loss
  • The passport must have a blank visa page for people on a single entry. People applying for a multiple-entry visa need at least two blank pages

Russian Private Visa Application Requirements

A Russian private visa is one of the various visas issued by the Russian Federation for foreigners who wish to enter Russia for personal reasons like visiting friends and family. c. Applicants who want a three-year visa need a notarized written statement prepared on a notary blank from the hosting party who lives in Russia. On this document, the following details of the hosting party should be available: the full name (first, middle and last name), citizenship, date of birth, sex, registration address, passport number, and the real address of the host.
d. The written invitation can also be made in Russia using a notary blank or a written invitation that is notarized by Russian citizens based in the USA. Such a letter needs to be accompanied by an authentic internal Russia passport, Russia foreign passport, and a US passport or a green card.
The invitation should detail information of the applicant like the full name (last, middle, and first name). Sex, date of birth, citizenship. Visa multiplicity, passport number, the purpose of the trip, visa length revealing the full three-year period (for instance, Entry date of 23/08/2020 till departure date 22/08/2023), the host’s proposed address of residence in Russia, and proposed cities to visit.
